Happy 2018 from Maison Foo!

Hello Foo Fans, Hope 2018 is treating you well!
We're rather excited as it's the year we are turning 10!!!!
Join us for a look back at our fab and rather jam packed 2017 and cheeky peek forwards into the Foo crystal ball at the exciting year ahead...
*drum roll please* working title 'The Interlude' is officially...
We've had a busy year making our brand new touring show, A Thing Mislaid (former working title The Interlude)-
Spring '17 saw us take our first steps back into the rehresal room post maternity and share early ideas at Lakeside Arts Centre in Nottingham and China Plate's First Bite Festival at Derby Theatre.
After a Summer of all things Outdoor Theatre (see below), we retreated back indoors and spent Autumn in Derby Theatre's rehearsal rooms working on a second R and D for 'A Thing Mislaid'!
Commissioned by China Plate, Warwick Arts Centre, mac Birmingham and In Good Company we set to work develpping more scenes to show to audiences at Bite Size festival in October '17!!!!
(Thanks so much to Derby Theatre, China Plate, Warwick Arts Centre, mac Birmingham, In Good Company and Lakeside Arts, we couldn't have got back on that rehearsal horse without you!)

We will be revealing our midlands tour dates for Autumn 2018 very soon! in the meantime check out the promo trailer above to see how it's shaping up!

“The Interlude is an intelligently crafted piece of theatre, which deals with a difficult but urgent subject matter in a visually rich and inventive way. The Performers are remarkable and the show is perfectly pitched for families and adults who want to engage both creatively and politically”
— Ruby Glaskin, Producer In Good Company
We've been on the road (literally!) with our street theatre last summer...
The Professor and her Person Birds have been causing mischief and mayhem out in your local shopping centres, parks and high streets!
The Tea Bar served up a cracking brew outside Royal Derby Hospital to Celebrate Air Arts' 10th Birthday
Person Birds and The Tea Bar are ready to head out in 2018 again! Get in touch if you want to add some mischievous street theatre to your festival or town centre! Click here for more info
We had a great Foo day sharing new work with some gorgeous audiences at Derby Feste in September. And what a pleasure it's been working with the B Boy wonders that are James Foggerty (aka Foggy) and Bobak Walker - such a refreshing and joyous making process... this journey has only just begun chaps!!!

Huge thanks to OffSite affiliate partners Déda, Derby Festé, So Festival and Appetite for all your support!

Take a look at the vid below to see how we got on at Derby Festé!
All of this work was supported by the BRILLIANT Arts Council England and our theatrical home Derby Theatre, thank you, we love you.
And thanks to all our Foo fans who have supported our first year back post maternity
Love Kate and Beth (and the Foolets) x
